Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s Prime Minister, the Honorable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, has appointed Senator Gerald Hadeed as the country\u2019s new Minister of Tourism. <\/p>\n
In his new position, Hadeed will oversee the development and execution of tourism development initiatives as well as promote the depth and diversity of the dual-island\u2019s tourism product in the international marketplace. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are pleased to welcome Senator Hadeed as the new Minister of Tourism,\u201d said Yolande Selman, acting Chief Executive Officer of Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s Tourism Development Company Limited.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe brings experience as a businessman and from within the industry, as well as new energy and ideas and will be instrumental in promoting and moving forward Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s tourism agenda to the benefit of all stakeholders,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n
Hadeed succeeds former Tourism Minister Chandresh Sharma. Hadeed joins the ministry with an impressive history of high-level experience and achievements.<\/p>\n
