Sri Lanka, a country blessed with numerous historical, cultural and natural resources. It offers a range of competitive tourism products and high quality services to the tourism market. Sri Lanka continues to emerge as one of the world’s best tourist destinations with accolades from various travel guides and travel magazines including Lonely Planet and National Geographic Traveler.

However due to global pandemic, borders of the country had been closed for ten months as part of the measures to contain the pandemic.

However, with better control of the situation, Sri Lanka has announced that commencing January 21, 2021, the country is now ready to reopen its borders and resume international tourism.

Aryasinha, ambassador to the U.S., he shares “the Sri Lanka Government has taken several measures to safeguard the well being of tourists visiting and the Sri Lankans. We firmly believe that tourists who embark seek to explore wonderful Sri Lanka, will return back with memorable experiences. Therefore, I would like to cordially invite you to join a zoom virtual meeting to discuss amazing Sri Lanka’s tourism revival. The objective of the meeting is to improve awareness of the new “BioBubble” concept and the dissemination of information about the latest safety protocols of Sri Lankan tourism”.

In addition to Ambassador Aryasinha, the meeting will be co-hosted by the Embassy of Sri Lanka, Washington DC, SriLankan Airlines/U.S. and office and Sri Lanka Tourism.
