The educational program for Dreamtime 2013, Tourism Australia’s signature business events trade activity, had been announced, with international buyers and media being given the opportunity to experience some of Australia’s great destinations first hand.

Dreamtime 2013 will be held from 9-13 December and will see approximately 100 international business events decision buyers and media converge on Melbourne for two days to experience Australia’s capabilities for doing business. The comprehensive business program and networking events hosted in conjunction with Melbourne Convention Bureau will be followed by three days of educational visits.

Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew McEvoy said Dreamtime was part of a broader strategy to promote Australia as a business event destination internationally and deliver economic benefits to the sector.

“Dreamtime gives the Australian business events industry a platform to do business with well qualified international buyers from key markets such as China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, North America and the United Kingdom,” Mr McEvoy said.

“The educational program will provide our international guests with the opportunity to experience what the Australian industry can deliver and our point of difference from other markets, from bespoke corporate incentive experiences as well as hosting large scale gala events.
