Stephan Tchividjian, grandson of the Reverend Billy Graham, and an avid traveler, will deliver the keynote address for the General Session of the Faith Travel Association (FTA) Conference at Travel Exchange on January 19, 2015 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Throughout the presentation, Tchividjian will weave exciting stories of his extensive travels with his business acumen to deliver an inspiring and compelling message on the power of faith-based travel, not only to help travel professionals to grow their business, but to change the world. The Jordan Tourism Board will sponsor this session.
“We are excited to have Stephan headline FTA’s conference at Travel Exchange,” said Karla DiNardo, Interim Executive Director for Faith Travel Association. “He is a captivating story-teller, and we believe his inspiring stories of his faith-based travel experiences will really resonate with travel professionals and help them to see the power and potential of faith-based travel to help them grow their business.”
The Conference also includes two breakout sessions to help travel pros and faith leaders grow their faith-based travel programs. Dan Maloney, Digital Shepherd for Mission Ad Group, will lead the professional development seminar for travel pros entitled, “Marketing to Faith Leaders – Adjust Your Channels, Adapt Your Message.” Dan will provide insight into the nuances of marketing to faith-based groups and share practical tips that can be put to work immediately to help attendees reach and engage faith-based-based travelers. Globus Family of Brands will sponsor this session.
FTA will also host a Pavilion at Travel Exchange, which will showcase faith-based travel exhibitors from all over the world. A sampling of current exhibitors and sponsors includes Central Holidays, Globus Family of Brands, Homeric. Israel Ministry of Tourism, the Jordan Tourism Board, Kuoni, Select International Tours & Cruises, Travel Insurance Center, US Travel Istanbul, and Sight & Sound Theatres.
“FTA is the premier association connecting the global faith-based travel industry with faith leaders, and this first conference will give travel professionals an incredible opportunity to see what the excitement is all about, meet others engaged in faith-based travel and learn how to tap into this growing market,” said DiNardo.
FTA Day is held in conjunction with NTA (National Tour Association) and UMA (United Motorcoach Association) at Travel Exchange. With approximately 3,600 attendees in 2014, Travel Exchange is one of the industry’s leading conferences that brings together the full spectrum of travel buyers and sellers on the same floor, including tour operators, motorcoach operators, travel agents, group leaders, faith leaders, suppliers and destinations.
