The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), along with governments and health experts, have created a set of “Safe Travels” global health and safety protocols. SITA World Tours has been granted that prestigious seal. The WTTC guidelines have received the backing of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and were developed with the help of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). WTTC ’s stamp is awarded to Tour Operators that have adopted these guidelines for global safety and hygiene. SITA is one of the few operators granted this distinction.
“SITA’s nine decades of experience allowed us to focus on the key components necessary to earn the critical Seal. This included Operational & Staff Preparedness, which ensures readiness and compliance. The efforts undertaken will Deliver a Safe Experience overall, by enhancing cleanliness and hygiene practices on the ground, as well as ensuring Trust and Confidence through Transparent Communication with its passengers”. Laudie Hanou, Vice President of Los Angeles based SITA World Tours adds “the WTTC Seal, as well as the USTOA backed TOURCare protocols which we have also cleared, will provide our guests total peace of mind, not only during the booking process in being able to answer questions pertaining to travel during a pandemic, but also while traveling and in destination”.
