New hotels are opening up across the African continent in response to an increasing number of business and leisure travelers and tourists. While budgets and preferences may vary, the fact that there is an increasing need for places to stay is not debatable. This is buoyed by reports that Africa is on the brink of major economic growth, with six of the world’s ten fastest growing economies being from Africa over the last decade.
The economic outlook for the continent, as well as the travel industry, remains bright.
Against this backdrop, Serena Hotels will continue to invest in Africa by building and managing hotels in selected areas of the developing world that contribute to economic growth in an economically viable and environmentally sensitive manner.
“Serena is excited to be associated with the Africa Travel Association (ATA) and welcomes the opportunity to work with them in order to bring more attention to the exciting destination that is Africa,” said Rosemary Mugambi, Sales and Marketing Director, Serena Hotels.
