QT Hotels & Resorts has announced the acquisition of Victoria’s largest ski resort property, Quay West Falls Creek, which will be rebranded as QT Falls Creek and opened in time for the Australian winter season, starting immediately.
Located roughly halfway between Melbourne and Canberra in Australia’s southeastern state of Victoria, QT Falls Creek sits snugly at the base of the main ski runs at this alpine resort, with views of the slopes from each of resort’s 63 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. Each suite features modern interiors, under-floor heating, open-plan living areas, a European laundry and drying cupboard, and hot tubs on most balconies.
As at its sister resorts in Sydney, Port Douglas and the Gold Coast, renowned hotel designer Nic Graham leads the charge of redesigning the QT Falls Creek to imprint the unique designer style that is now synonymous with the QT brand. The redesign will feature QT Hotels & Resort’s signature interactive marketplace Bazaar, the hip cocktail bar Stingray Lounge and unique ski-inspired spa experiences at spaQ.
“With very distinctive design, this luxury 63-apartment complex represented the ideal opportunity to bring the QT Hotels & Resorts brand to Falls Creek, and it will join the newly launched QT Resorts in Port Douglas, the Gold Coast and our flagship QT Hotel Sydney,” said David Seargeant, Group Managing Director AHL.
“The QT brand is part of a global trend of design-led lifestyle hotels that provide high-energy, innovative restaurants and bars in a highly stylized design, and we look forward to bringing this experience to Falls Creek in time for this winter season.”
