Kiss-the-Cook---Workshop-4

The World Food Tourism Summit program takes place at the Estoril Congress Centre in Portugal April 8 – 11, 2015.

A new feature that the event is introducing this year is the integration of the Chefs Congress, promoted by “Edições do Gosto”, to provide greater sharing of knowledge and involvement of Portuguese gastronomy professionals in their international promotion.

The Summit also has the presence of international cuisine professionals who will present the latest offerings and trends in culinary tourism.

Among the professionals are author Matt Goulding, and Ian Yeoman, a professor at Victory University. Kathy Dragon, Executive Director of the Whole Journey, will characterize the culinary connoisseurs, and Greg Richards, Executive Director of IGCAT, will speak about the importance of integrating dining experiences into the marketing strategies of destinations.

Throughout the event, Portuguese chefs will highlight local cuisine and products.

The World Food Tourism Summit will play host to the Chefs Congress (CNC), the largest annual gathering of professionals and kitchen lovers in Portugal.

“This event provides the professional culinary tourism sector with new trends and opens doors for innovation in their business models and processes,” said José Borralho, president of APTECE.

The World Food Tourism Summit program also includes the European Street Food Festival, which will feature more than 40 concepts of street food and is open to the public.
