At a media event on July 10th at The Park Hyatt in Dubai, Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas of St. Kitts & Nevis announced the launch of plans to develop a luxurious Park Hyatt hotel on St. Kitts. Slated to open in the winter of 2014/15, the Government of St. Kitts & Nevis has designated the planned development as an “Approved Project for Citizenship-by-Investment” as an added incentive to potential investors in order to help raise private equity for the $150 million project.
Upon completion, Park Hyatt St. Kitts will feature 200 hotel rooms and 50 branded residential condominiums set within Christophe Harbour, the 2,500-acre master planned community currently under development on St. Kitts’ southeast peninsula. Park Hyatt St. Kitts will be situated a short distance from the island’s airport and will be developed all while protecting the environment.
