Can your child learn development skills and healthy eating tips while on vacation? Yes! Palladium Hotels & Resorts’ smallest guests are getting excited about teamwork and eating healthy meals due to the success of the Play at Palladium with Raggs programming.
At Palladium’s on-property theatres, Raggs and his band of lovable canines, with the help of a humorous emcee named José, come together for the Raggs Pirate Show. As the pups are planning the ultimate beach bash, party-crashing pirates appear. The audience stays on watch for the pesky pirates – armed with the secret code word “arrrgh” – while the pups, dancers and host put the finishing touches on a party for a surprise ending. Eager kids learn how teamwork helps complete an important task.
Dr. Shalom Fisch, Ph.D., founder of MediaKidz Research & Consulting said, “Raggs draws upon the very best of educational practice. Raggs uses the power of music, humor and appealing characters—not only to help children learn—but to celebrate the joy of learning.”
Families who stay at Palladium also have the benefit of enjoying healthy eating during the weekly Raggs-themed breakfast. For one-hour, families enjoy coloring placemats, balloons and their favorite Raggs songs. Breakfasts are held in open-air poolside patios or indoor spaces with a seemingly endless ocean view, dependent on the property, culminating in an exciting Raggs sing-along.
The creative (and healthy) breakfast buffet has interactive features including a build-a-picture fruit bar where bananas, mangos and watermelon can be formed into palm trees. Families will also enjoy broccoli and cauliflower shaped poodles, puppy-faced pancakes and fresh fruit smoothies (blueberry for blue-furred Raggs, strawberry for his pink-coated friend Trilby and banana for yellow Pido) topped with a cinnamon dog stenciled in the froth and a colorful umbrella.
Food allergies? No problem! Palladium boasts a comprehensive food allergy program. To make dining easier for all guests, different colored cards, each representing a different food allergy, are placed next to all buffet line dishes so guests know what they can eat without having to think twice.
Palladium Hotels & Resorts also provides fun and safe all-day entertainment in their renowned age-tiered Kids’ Clubs. Along with activities like jungle gyms and sport competitions, activities range from a twice per week teens-only disco, outdoor eco-trails and opportunities for children to learn about the local culture and basic language skills. The best part about it is that parents don’t have to worry about their kids sitting in front of video games all day, because at Palladium they get out, stay healthy and play.
