New York state sent the most visitors to the Grand Case Beach Club in 2011, followed by New Jersey, Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, Maryland and Pennsylvania. A total of 34 states and 12 foreign countries were represented. St. Martin continued to be popular with Canadians, who accounted for nearly 11% of the total room nights. Attesting to the resort’s popularity, nearly 40% are repeat visitors, a primary reason why average year-round occupancy was nearly 80%, one of the best in the Caribbean.
According to Ronald C. Muzii, president of Muzii & Associates, Inc., the resort’s marketing representative, the occupancy figures can be attributed to several factors. “Certainly repeat business is a big driver, but the resort is fortunate to have the strong support of some major wholesalers in the U.S. and Canada. Other factors include Expedia featuring the resort in its Insiders’ Select List, which represents only a small percentage of its total world-wide clientele; and awards from Apple Vacations, Caribbean Travel & Life readers, Travelocity, and others.”
The Grand Case Beach Club, located on he ocean adjacent to Grand Case Village, the culinary capital of the island, has a wide variety of amenities for its guests. These include two beaches, swimming pool, water sports and fitness centers, tennis court and the Boardwalk, which wraps around a hill overlooking the ocean and connects to the Sunset Cafe, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Happy Hour seven days a week.
