ROW Adventures is opening a brand new adventure camp on the Skeleton Coast in Namibia, Africa.
After natural fires ruined the original Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp in 2012, safari travelers have been anticipating the construction and grand opening of a new lodge in the area.
The new Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp, located 56 miles southeast of the previous camp, is set to open on August 1, 2014.
To celebrate the grand opening, ROW Adventures is offering a special promotional rate to families traveling with children.
From August 1, 2014 to January 10, 2015, a four-day safari based from the camp is just 0 (ages 6 through 16) – a 65-percent discount.
The Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is set among rugged, iconic, wildlife-filled terrain and nestled in a valley at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River. The camp is located in one of the most remote areas of the Kaokoveld, between the Palmwag area and the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park in Namibia.
Peter Grubb, founder and president of ROW Adventures, has always been fascinated by the awe-inspiring country of Namibia.
Twice the size of California with only 2.5 million people, the sparsely-populated country’s huge variety of topography is a dream destination for a multi-sport adventure. The dunes, coast, mountains, plains, and wildlife led Grubb to begin research and take a trip to Namibia in November 2012. By the time he’d left some 14 days later, Namibia had become a favorite.
“The people, the landscape and the wildlife all combine into a impactful life-enriching experience,” Grubb said.
ROW Adventures is a preferred partner of the camp’s owners.
