MTravel, the host agency division of Montrose Travel, has wrapped its 6th Annual Educational Conference in Vail, Colorado. In addition to one day in Denver, the conference featured Vail, Colorado as its host city for four days of networking events, specialty training sessions and small group discussions.

Along with their consortia partner Ensemble Travel, nearly 30 cruise, tour operator, tourism board and travel insurance supplier partners participated in the event.

The agenda was a mix of full and breakout training sessions, workshops, supplier roundtable discussions, one-on-one mentoring meetings and a trade show.

Attendees also received a private tour of the Globus Headquarters in Littleton, Colorado as well as a special session with Globus CEO Scott Nisbet at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Hall of Fame.

Now in its sixth year, the format of each educational conference continually adjusts based off of a final “Conference Debrief” held at the close of the event.

“Feedback is central to making this event worthwhile to everyone involved,” said Emily Peters, Business Development Manager for MTravel.

“Everything from the training topics to the meals we include is influenced by their input.

We constantly improve the event’s design so that our agents and supplier partners can jointly benefit from one another and be eager to return each year.”

Though the core conference activities ended the morning of October 13, the learning continued as a full busload of agents participated in a customized post-conference tour offered by Globus. This 4-day familiarization trip was offered exclusively to Montrose Travel agents to give them a taste of some of the most popular national parks throughout Colorado and Utah.
