AmaWaterways announced that Michelle Fee, CEO and Co-Founder of Cruise Planners, will serve as Godmother of the new AmaSerena. Fee will bless the 164-passenger ship alongside the AmaWaterways’ executive team during a special Christening ceremony at the conclusion of its July 29 “Melodies of the Danube” sailing in Vilshofen, Germany.
“AmaWaterways is thrilled to welcome Michelle Fee as the godmother of our new innovative ship, the AmaSerena,” said Kristin Karst, Executive Vice President and Co-Owner of AmaWaterways. “As the CEO of one of the largest home-based travel franchise organizations in the nation, Michelle has been an influential leader in the travel industry and we could not be more excited to have her join our family at AmaWaterways.
”
Michelle Fee has been an industry leader for more than 20 years. Her love of travel and passion for entrepreneurship is what led Fee to join forces with her partners in 1994 to establish Cruise Planners.
The 164-passenger AmaSerena, which offers 7- and 14-night cruises along the Danube, Main, Rhine, Dutch and Belgian Waterways, features spacious accommodations, with most staterooms boasting AmaWaterways’ unique Twin Balconies. A new feature is the line’s connecting cabins with a number of joint staterooms, offering added convenience for families and groups traveling together.
Staterooms are also equipped with the line’s state-of-the-art entertainment on demand system, which affords travelers complimentary access to Internet, the latest Hollywood movies, a music library and more.
