The May Fair Hotel scooped the award for Most Excellent Bedroom for their colourful Schiaparelli suite at the 30th Annual Dinner for the Condé Nast Johansens 2012 UK & Ireland Awards for Excellence – an international mark of distinction. General Manager at the May Fair, Anthony Lee, who collected the award said, “We feel very proud to receive this award. At the end of the day, it is all about experiences. I want people to have an exciting experience – and at the May Fair this is one of accessible luxury – an unforgettable experience with a unique twist.”

The Schiaparelli suite, a tribute to retro glamour, was awarded Most Excellent Bedroom for its “attention to decorative and theme detail and unique interior design that really makes it stand out from the crowd. From the hot pink colour palette, luxurious fabrics to the Buddhist accents, it embodies the unique and luxurious quality that one looks for in that special hotel bedroom.”

The award was bestowed based on inspector feedback, consumer response and online votes, Condé Nast Johansens said they were looking for “a bedroom that embodied luxury, elegance, comfort and design – a bedroom that you would never want to leave and always want to return to.”

Commenting on the May Fair, Condé Nast Johansens described the hotel as “stylish, contemporary and quirky. The May Fair takes 5-star luxury to another level, bringing together smart and expressive modern design and exceptional attention to detail – the hotel fully deserves the CoolBrands 2011/12 award for the second year running, in recognition of its style and personality.” In addition to the Schiaparelli suite, The May Fair Hotel has 11 other signature suites, including the sophisticated Amber Suite, the Opium Suite, and the stylish Saffron Suite.
