Travelers’ continuous support allows Inkaterra to be acknowledged with some of the industry’s most prestigious awards, celebrating its distinctive properties and its pioneering vision of sustainable travel.
Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel was among the best luxury hotels in Peru, according to the digital guide The Luxury Editor. The property “is its own little village hidden away in a cloud forest,” according to the Travel + Leisure editorial staff. “Guests love its jungle surroundings (one reader mentioned the “beautiful trees, shrubs, flowers, and birds”), and the food is also a highlight.”
The Condé Nast Traveller 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards recognized two of Inkaterra’s luxury properties among the best hotels in South America. Inkaterra La Casona, Peru’s first-ever Relais & Châteaux property, was one of the hotels awarded in this category. The 16th century manor house hosted Spanish conquistador Diego de Almagro and Libertador Simón Bolívar, and was meticulously restored throughout a five year renovation. It immerses guests in Cusco’s rich heritage and vibrant traditions. Additionally, Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, a contemporary hacienda-style hotel amid the green mountains and harvest fields of Cusco’s Sacred Valley of the Incas, was noted as one of the best hotels in South America.
At the Ecoluxury Fair in Rome, Inkaterra received an award for their achievements in the ‘Biosphere’ category – a celebration of the brand’s efforts to preserve one of our planet’s most biodiverse areas.
