The Hilton Malta was honored by Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International with a gold Adrian Award to recognize excellence in community engagement, creative content and brand building using social networks.
Hilton Malta worked with Travel Click to create an interactive gaming contest on Facebook with a viral component that boosted brand visibility. The two-week campaign successfully generated a 300 per cent increase of the page’s viral reach through posts and shares, and 10 per cent growth in the hotel fan base.
The Adrian Awards is a leading marketing competition, tailored for the hospitality and travel industries and attracting more than 1,000 entries. Hilton Malta will receive the award at the Adrian Awards Gala in New York in January. “We are excited to be recognised as a social media innovator by the Adrian Awards and HSMAI,” Hilton Malta director of business development Julian Diacono said.
“Social networks are an increasingly important marketing and brand building channel for us. We aim to engage the community through relevant and entertaining content that breaks through the clutter, starting a conversation that others can and want to join.”
HSMAI is an individual membership organisation comprising more than 7,000 members worldwide. Travel Click is a provider of revenue-generating solutions for hoteliers across the globe.
