Spice Island Beach Resort has announced the appointments of Wendy Cole as managing director of Hospitality Growth Solutions, LLC, and Billy Taylor, corporate training specialist, to the sales and marketing team. Cole and Taylor will represent the high-end Grenada resort in the U.S. market, where they will leverage the property’s recent TripAdvisor ranking as the “#1 Resort in the Caribbean” to increase awareness for Grenada and Spice Island Beach Resort’s service-oriented brand of five-star hospitality.

Having possessed multiple leadership roles with top hotel companies including Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and JW Marriott, Cole’s 25 years of experience also includes several independently owned boutique hotels and resorts, giving her significant insight into Spice Island Beach Resort’s target audience.

She has consistently maintained a flawless reputation in the industry for boosting brand awareness by layering sales, promotions and marketing, while also developing key relationships with top travel agents, meeting planners, OTA’s and tour operators around the world.

Taylor, a former professional NFL American football player on the New York Giants, New York Jets and Oakland Raiders, is an expert in educating travel agents and tour operators on selling luxury to their clients and how customer service and outstanding value is the way to build loyal customers.

As a motivational speaker, Taylor organizes events geared toward travel agents, which will emphasize how Spice Island Beach Resort understands and personalizes its service levels and will teach how agents can adopt the same standards to grow their own businesses.
