For the first time, Leipzig and Dresden will promote their leisure options and selling points in a jointly produced incentive guide, which was published with the support of Tourismus Marketing Gesellschaft Sachsen mbH (Tourism Marketing Company of Saxony). The brochure addresses business travellers and illustrates the attractive choice of spare time activities in both cities. On 36 pages it targets companies, associations and organisations that look for ideas for supporting programmes of conferences and congresses in the two Saxon cities. Beside established tourist attractions it lists above all suggestions that companies can use for incentive programmes to motivate their staff or customers.

“Joining forces for the incentive guide not only strengthens the cities of Leipzig and Dresden but the economic region as a whole,” said Volker Bremer, managing director of Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing (LTM) GmbH.

“We are happy to act in concert and coordinate our activities to achieve this aim.

We hope that issuing the incentive guide to a specific audience will help us attract visitors who not only attend outstanding congresses here but who also come to appreciate Leipzig’s attractive choice of leisure activities.’

The incentive guide will mainly be distributed at national and international trade shows and during site-inspection trips. Additionally it will be mailed to interested companies and incentive agencies world-wide. Incentive highlights in Leipzig for example include driving events in the Porsche World, teambuilding activities in Leipzig Zoo, in the Belantis theme park or during whitewater rafting in the Markkleeberg Canoe Park, as well as the creative scene in the Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei, a former cotton mill, and in the Grassi Museum. Culinary extras – such as Gose, Leipziger Lerche and Dresden Stollen – are recommended, too.
