The United States will be presenting at FITUR 2015 its major tourist attractions and huge opportunities for business, shopping and fun

The United States will be presenting at FITUR 2015, the 35th staging of the International Tourism Trade Show organised by IFEMA in Madrid from January 28 to February 1, 2015. A

The latest and most innovative international offer in cultural, natural, sports, gastronomic, shopping, health and other tourism segments will be on hand at FITUR 2015. The Trade Show will likewise be hosting the largest tourism promotion and business forum anywhere in the world, planning new projects and businesses which will help lend the sector decisive dynamism.

Nature will be one of the key propositions showcased by international exhibitors at FITUR 2015. One of these, Chile, will be exhibiting a substantial offering of tourist activities based on the diversity and contrasts of its landscapes, while Argentina will be focusing on a collection of 210 experiences, which include hiking on glaciers, night-time routes around the waterfalls of Iguazú and the launch of mountain trails including the Huella Andina. Brazil will for its part be revealing its tourist delights, characterised by a pleasant, tropical climate, outstanding beaches, cultural riches and a fascinating lifestyle.

Colombia will be taking advantage of the trade show to promote the diversity of its tourism sector, shaped by the tradition of its peoples and the legacy of Spanish, indigenous and African customs, through arts and crafts, cuisine, extreme sports and festivals.

The exhibitors from Italy will be presenting art and history, but also nature and landscape, spectacle, cuisine, sport and health; Portugal its agreeable climate, with 3,000 hours of sun per year and magnificent beaches washed by the Atlantic Ocean, along with a wide range of landscapes, leisure, cultural heritage and gastronomy; Russia will be revealing its intriguing propositions for visitors, within a context characterised by its vast territory, a rich historical and cultural heritage and the wild landscapes of many of its regions.

Shopping tourism will likewise be included in the offerings of countries including Russia and the United States, as well as China, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and the Gulf countries, given their importance in the luxury segment. The fair will itself be unveiling a new section, FITUR SHOPPING, dedicated to this segment and its further consolidation. Among the new international propositions on show, a number of exhibitors are also involved in health tourism, a growing segment which also for the first time has its own specialist section at the event: FITUR HEALTH.

The range of tour operators, hotels and other tourism-related companies at FITUR 2015 will be extensive. Among others, Nueva Zelanda Viajes/Australia Alternativa, an agency specialising in bespoke travel to Oceania and its islands, will be inviting those visiting its stand to take a trip to the Antipodes.

Meanwhile, Ratpanat by Sura Afrika will be presenting its luxury safaris in Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana. The Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs Group will be promoting its new holiday apartments in Andorra. The DMC from Indochina Strings will be offering its high-end travel, incentives and pleasure packages for the European and Latin American markets. And Milán Tours will be featuring its latest additions as DMC from the United Arab Emirates for the whole world.

The transport sector will be represented by such companies as Qatar Airways, which will be detailing the increase in its flights between Madrid and Doha (the capital of Qatar), with an increasing number of passengers from the Asia-Pacific region.
