Fishing Lodge Cap Cana, a luxury villa resort opening October 12 in the Dominican Republic, is offering an introductory 20% agent commission on bookings made by June 30, 2012, for travel completed before the end of 2012. Additionally, it’s offering a 3-5-7 Incentive Program that can earn agents an American Express gift card for each booking: $25 card, 3–4 night booking; $50 card, 5–6 night booking; $100 card, 7+ night booking. Bookings must be made and completed by June 30, 2012. Agents must submit a booking detail form after client travel to qualify (from Leisure Sales Director Donna Smith). A three-night minimum stay is required to meet both commission and incentive program requirements; neither offer is valid for group bookings of 10 rooms per night or more.

Fishing Lodge, named for the Caribbean’s largest inland marina the resort surrounds, is located within a masterfully designed village 10 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport. Managed by Salamander Hotels & Resorts, initial opening features two themed restaurants, three bars, four pools, a 16th-century-style stone wedding chapel, state-of-the-art fitness center, boutique shops, and outdoor event spaces with amphitheater.

One-time “Dominican Debut”  villa rates start at $99, and a five-night, three-round golf package begins at $140 ppdo per night. Rounds are played at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Punta Espada Golf Club, the highest-ranked golf course in the Caribbean, and feature one forecaddie per group and transportation to and from the course. Both offers are valid October 12 through 2011 and do not include taxes, resort fee or service charge. Although Fishing Lodge is not all-inclusive, plans that include meals and beverages are available beginning at $174.50 ppdo per night.
