El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels by Karisma have announced winners from the fifth annual Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant (GIVC) Awards and Sales & Marketing Forum.
The event recognized exemplary travel professionals performing at the top of their classes. Some of the most significant honors awarded included Top Producers for Azul Hotels, Top Producers for El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels, Top New GIVC, Top GI Wedding Consultants, Five Diamond recognition, and the top honor, the Hall of Fame award.
The GIVC Awards and Sales & Marketing Forum took place at El Dorado Royale on October 31. The fifth annual GIVC Awards marked a record year for tour operator partners, with 26 attending. More than 350 guests attended the event in total. El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels have awarded a special group of travel agents the “Diamond” status, with Five Diamond being the highest level of recognition for GI Vacation Consultants. This special status recognition is achieved as a result of exceptional knowledge and support of El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels.

The three-day GIVC Awards also presented an opportunity for El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels by Karisma to present the attending GI Vacation Consultants with a first look at some of the collection’s latest news and upcoming announcements. On the heels of unveiling two new properties – El Dorado Generations Maroma and Azul Villa Esmeralda – and announcing an expansion into Jamaica, Karisma Hotels & Resorts announced a new premium section at El Dorado Seaside Suites with beach and pool butler service, a new wedding office and lobby, and an additional restaurant and bar; and El Dorado Generations Riviera Maya, which will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom connecting suites and cater to teens with multiuse courts, dive in movies, food trucks, and a game room.
For agents, Karisma Hotels & Resorts will also introduce Karisma TV, a library of short videos and e-mercials, which can be customized for agents, as well as new digital brochures that will enable easy sharing via social media and email.
