Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, is taking steps to ease the process of welcoming travelers back to Dubai and the UAE’s Northern Emirates via Abu Dhabi International Airport following the recent reopening of Visa on Arrival for eligible passport holders.
Those traveling from the U.S. can book travel to Abu Dhabi International Airport with easy onward transit to Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, with fares starting at $597 from New York City and Chicago and $697 from Los Angeles.
On arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport, passengers are only permitted to travel to another emirate by Etihad Chauffeur, Etihad Express Coach or Airport Taxi.
Travelers should adhere to the quarantine procedures in each respective emirate. Dubai visitors must quarantine until receiving a negative COVID-19 test, taken on arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport and usually received the same day.
Travelers flying with Etihad can enjoy peace of mind thanks to the airline’s comprehensive health and hygiene program, Etihad Wellness. As part of the program, all passengers must have negative PCR tests prior to boarding and will receive complimentary COVID-19 insurance to cover medical expenses in the UAE should they become ill during their stay.
