Punta Cana Resort & Club announced the appointment of Roger Belletti as General Manager of the Tortuga Bay Hotel. In his new role, Belletti will directly oversee the day-to-day operations of the brand’s property, which features 13 beachfront villas.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Belletti to the Dominican Republic,” said Mr. Alberto Abreu, Executive Hospitality Director of at Punta Cana Resort & Club. “We are a team of entrepreneurial minded and passionate individuals, and I am confident his expertise will further the success we have enjoyed since launching our brand 45 years ago.”
Prior to joining the Punta Cana Resort & Club team, Belletti served as General Manager of the five-star Punta Molino Beach Resort & Spa in Ischia, Italy for three years. He was also brought on by Marriott International as pre-opening manager and then General Manager of the first JW Marriott in Italy, The Tiberio Palace Capri – a luxury boutique resort on the island of Capri.
Late last year, Tortuga Bay’s canary-hued villas underwent a redesign of its interiors under the direction of Oscar de la Renta. The ocean-front suites maintain the designer’s elegant style. Inspired by the resort’s leafy surroundings, the interiors feature fabrics from de la Renta’s home collection, and natural materials such as indigenous mahogany wood, wicker and rattan.
Tortuga bay also features a 1,000 square foot Oscar de la Renta boutique set amongst the villas and is home to the AAA Four Diamond Restaurant, Bamboo.
