The Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the opening of the 230-key Wyndham San José Herradura Hotel & Conference Center in San José, Costa Rica, making it the second Wyndham property to open in the country’s capital in the last month.
The new property also joins sister hotel TRYP by Wyndham San José Sabana, which joined the company’s portfolio in November 2011.
The new hotel is located minutes from Juan Santamaría International Airport and downtown San José and provides guests with complimentary high-speed wireless internet access, a variety of on-site dining options and the largest meeting and conference facilities in the country.
For meetings, events and conferences, the hotel boasts more than 28,000 square feet of flexible space, which includes two expansive lobbies and a 12,800-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,500 people. Conference services include technology and multimedia equipment, on-site meeting professionals and catering.

Additional hotel offerings include a full-service spa, salon, gift shop, a daily complimentary breakfast buffet and three on-site restaurants. Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s three pools, Fiesta Casino and exclusive privileges at nearby Cariari Country Club and Golf Resort.
