Brett Walker, general manager of Collette Vacations Canada, has announced the hiring of Michelle Harris as Marketing Specialist. Harris joined Collette in January and is responsible for implementing a variety of marketing initiatives in the Canadian market.

Harris comes to Collette Vacations from Schlumberger where she worked for 10 years in software and consulting marketing in both consumer and business to business channels.

At Collette Vacations, Harris’s responsibilities will include working with travel agents to develop strategies and programs aimed at relationship building.

She will also assist with the development and implementation of various marketing campaigns, including planning and creative development, as well as managing national conferences and special events.

“All of us at Collette are thrilled to have Michelle on board,” said Walker. “Her extensive background will help us build new and stronger travel agent partnerships through innovative marketing programs.” A graduate of Sheridan College with a degree in Advertising, Harris is currently pursuing a degree in Communication Studies through Athabasca University. Harris is an active volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society and participates in various fundraising campaigns in her local community.

Harris lives in Milton, Ontario, with her husband and daughter.
