Chabil Mar is among the sponsors of this year’s Placencia Lobsterfest – a grand celebration of the opening of the lobster season in Belize.

Guests can enjoy the Placencia Lobsterfest festivities at their leisure, with a stroll along the beach or bicycle and golf cart from the Guest Exclusive Belize Resort, Chabil Mar.

There will be a diverse selection of lobster preparations and a “Best Lobster Dish Competition”. For those not so keen on lobster, the food vendors will have shrimp, fish, chicken, steak, pork and vegetarian sides from strong family kitchen traditions. Taste Creole, Mayan, Garifuna, Caribbean, European, Asian and North American culinary influences at the leading gastronomic party in Belize or cool off during the sunny three-day event with ice-cold refreshing Belikin Beer, brewed in Belize, favorite local rums and liquors and fresh juices and slushies.

Local DJs, musicians and Belize headlining bands be performing and raffles, lobster competitions and a lionfish tournament will also be held during the 3 day event. Other festivities include a Mr. & Ms. Physique contest, a tug-o-war, tipsy tuna toss competition, spicy wings eating contest, a kayak race and more.
