In South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province, the intimate andBeyond Phinda Vlei Lodge is setting a reopening in June after a complete refurbishment.

andBeyond says “the lodge’s fresh new interior design will be inspired by the turn of the century plantation-style of KwaZulu-Natal’s sugar cane and pineapple barons. The guest bathrooms will be completely refurbished to provide a sense of old world luxury, while interiors will be an eclectic mix of curated antiques and collectibles. A library will be added to the guest areas and the dining deck will be extended for covered al fresco dining with views of the adjoining wetland. The updated look for Phinda Vlei Lodge will embrace the history of the area, accented with antique tapestries, fine art, vintage cottons and linens, silver and crystal”.
