Fresh off 2018’s history-making debut of American Song, the 1st modern riverboat in the U.S., American Cruise Lines has announced that 2018 was also its most award-winning year ever—receiving 13 awards from the most prestigious publications and respected institutions in the travel industry.

In 2018, American was honored to win a Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award, Top Small Cruise Lines, for a 5th year in a row. And for a 6th year in a row, American was named the World’s Leading Small Ships Cruise Line, World’s Leading River Cruise Company, and North America’s Leading River Cruise Company by the World Travel Awards. American was particularly pleased to win two Cruise Critic Awards including their Editors’ Picks Award, Best River Cruise Line for Solo Travelers, for a 2nd year in a row. Solo Travel remains one of the cruise industry’s hottest travel trends and American has single cabins available on all its ships without a single supplement required.

Also notable for 2018, were several awards honoring American’s commitment to building new innovative ships—winning Travel Weekly’s Gold Magellan Award for American Song, best new Overall Contemporary Ship, and a Silver Magellan Award for American Constitution, best new Overall Small Cruise Ship. Both new ships debuted to much aplomb in 2018. American Cruise Lines continues to distinguish itself among all U.S. small ship lines as it designs and builds only new ships—its entire fleet is built, crewed and registered in the U.S.A.

Specializing in U.S. River and Coastal cruising for over 30 years, American Cruise Lines looks forward to another award-winning year in 2019. The Line is already off to a tremendous start this January, winning three 2019 USA Today’s 10Best Awards, a 2019 Travvy Award, and a 2019 World Travel Award.
