In celebration of its 10 year anniversary,AmaWaterways rolled out the red carpet for the company’s gala held on Sunday, July 22 near its headquarters in Chatsworth.
“In the past 10 years, river cruising has evolved faster than it ever has previously,” said AmaWaterways Founder Rudi Schreiner. “We broke new ground, not only in the way we sell river cruises, but also in how our itineraries, technology, amenities and services allow travelers to experience the world in a new way.”
AmaWaterways co-founders were presented with a framed photo of the river cruise line’s latest ship, the AmaCerto. The photo was signed by members of the staff and will be displayed at the company’s headquarters.
In the company’s first 10 years, they have purchased 11 custom cruising ships, created themed cruises such as their Jewish Heritage and Wine Themed sailings, and expanded their presence outside of Europe by including sailings to Russia, Portugal, Vietnam and Africa.
In 2013, AmaWaterways plans to launch new ships, including the 108-passenger AmaVida and the 164-passenger AmaPrima, as well as a new 15-day Paris & Normandy cruise.
