Dallyce Macas, President & CEO of Adventure Center, has announced that the company has moved into the luxury travel sector with the release of their tour operator Peregrine’s “Reserve” brochure. “The Reserve program has been designed for discriminating clients who want to enjoy some of the most remarkable experiences on earth, whether it’s dining in a palace with Indian royalty or staying in a remote Wildlife Centre in the heart of the Amazon,” says Macas.

There are 21 itineraries in all, visiting every continent with the exception of Australia. Itineraries range from the well-known and loved such as Italy and China, to exciting “new” destinations of Burma and Rwanda.

“Adventure travel has long been perceived as only for clients who are energetic and not too fussy about where they stay,” says Macas. “Thanks to Reserve, the sector has now been opened up to those who not only want comfort, they want five-star luxury.” Accommodation ranges from storied hotels to mansions and palaces, exotic tented camps and stylish floating hotels. Because Reserve groups are small – usually a maximum of 12 – it means that accommodation is often provided in exceptional boutique properties, which simply couldn’t accommodate larger groups.

A meal may be in a private country retreat in India (which you travel to by elephant); a rustic feast in a lemon grove in Italy; or even something of your own creation, after a cooking class in Vietnam, Sri Lanka or Morocco. There’s a special emphasis on the culinary side of travel on all of these tours, with most meals included, often with local wine, beer and spirits.

Along the way, transportation is as varied as train (such as the Hiram Bingham train in Peru, operated by Orient Express), a hot air balloon or at times even your own two feet: Reserve tours are provided by Adventure Center’s tour operator, Peregrine who are renowned for its highly skilled guides and local, authentic cultural experiences. Peregrine has upped the ante for its Reserve tours with some exceptional walking tour experiences featuring their top guides who have been selected for their knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for their home countries.

“We know that travellers booking these trips will be very well-travelled and expecting the highest standards of small group touring,” says Macas. For example, on the Spirit of Kenya tour, the complimentary loan of Canon camera equipment along with expert photographic guidance is included.
