Airelles has announced that Mademoiselle Val d’Isère will welcome its first guests December 19, 2019. This is the latest opening for the luxury hotel collection which already includes Les Airelles in Courchevel and La Bastide in Gordes.
The brand-new 5-star hotel, which hopes to follow in the footsteps of sister properties Les Airelles and La Bastide to become Palace accredited, is perfectly positioned at an altitude of 1,850m. Situated in the very centre of Val d’Isère and directly at the base of the slopes, Mademoiselle will be the only luxury hotel in the area to offer ski in ski out access.
Designed to be a reinterpretation of a medieval-inspired castle, Mademoiselle will be home to 41 keys, including 9 suites and 5 private penthouses, complete with their own dedicated butler. Each room will feature a private balcony or terrace with views of the slopes or village and will be individually appointed with antique furniture and authenticated artwork from a collection of over 4,000 specially selected pieces.
A spacious 1,200-sqm Spa, the largest in Val d’Isère, has been created in partnership with the skincare and cosmetic brand Guerlain. Facilities will include: a 20m x 5m swimming pool, Hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, 2 sensory showers, a healthy bar offering a wide range of teas and drinks inspired by a traditional French Echoppe and a fitness centre complete with its own coach. The Spa will offer 6 well-being cabins, including “Le Boudoir”, a cabin designed specifically for manicures and pedicures.
Mademoiselle will also be home to a gallery of boutiques, offering the latest in fashion from iconic brands Moncler and Brunello Cucinelli as well as hair styling courtesy of Christophe Nicolas Biot. The Bernard Orcel Ski Salon, which will be equipped with the newest equipment for guests to rent or buy, will ensure getting mountain ready is easier than ever – and returning back to the hotel even more delightful, with its buffet of snacks.
When it comes to dining there will be plenty to wet the appetite.
From the 860m2 Terrasse which will serve lunch against the backdrop of the mountains and Le Carnotzet which, come evening, will serve authentic cheeses and regional specialties in a traditional Savoyard atmosphere, to VI where refined French cuisine will greet guests for dinner. The Bar and Le Fumoir will be open all day serving rare alcohol, fine wines and an exceptional Champagne menu created exclusively by female winemakers, as well as a wide selection of cigars.
Perfect for families, Mademoiselle has created a Kid’s Kingdom; a recreation of the enchanted Broceliande forest, a tribute to Merlin, that has been designed entirely with children in mind. It will be open daily from 9am to 10pm with a cheerful Nanny on hand to keep youngsters entertained as well as assisting parents; even in the Ski Room where she will help get Little guests ready for a day in the snow. Back inside the hotel also offers a private 70 m² cinema, reserved entirely for guests, and a specially created aquatic space for children: The Grotto.
