Held earlier this year in January, the EMITT Exhibition brought a novelty to travel shows by expanding its coverage to include congress tourism, winter and outdoor halls and has been a success with a record number of professional visitors and travelers visiting the event. Witnessing 4.550 participant organizations, institutions and towns from 71 countries the 19th EMITT Exhibition was visited by a total of 142.100 people including 64.350 professionals and 77.750 travelers.

Stating that the first EMITT Exhibition was held in 1999, Ekin Fuar A.?.’s Managing Director Hacer Ayd?n also indicated that the first event was visited by 8.589 professional visitors and EMITT has grown over the years and turned into a global platform where the world’s leading tourism professionals of the world meet and that local and foreign tourism professionals made important business contacts and agreements this year as well.

Ayd?n stated that they had a dedicated a hall as MICE Hall for congress tourism at the 19th EMITT Exhibition and promoted the big potential and opportunities that Turkey offered via creative concept to a select exhibitor profile comprising the leading MICE professionals, event organization companies, congress hotels and congress centers from Turkey and the world.

The 2015 EMITT Exhibition also featured outdoor and adventure sports in the big hall dedicated to winter tourism and brought the leading destinations, facilities and equipment manufacturers in the areas of rollerblades, mountain bikes, delta wing, camping, canoeing, skiing, mountain climbing, model plane, bungee jumping, rafting, paragliding, diving, skateboarding, skydiving, snowboarding, trekking, water skiing, wind surfing, orienteering and caravans, to the local and foreign institutions and visitors.

Having noted that EMITT, which has played a significant role in promotion of Turkey’s tourism industry and has been ranked as the 5th largest tourism trade fair for many years played a pioneering role in tourism trade fairs sector with its new concepts and novelties it introduces every year, Ayd?n emphasized that their goal is to carry Turkey to the top in the global tourism sector and to make EMITT, one of the top three tourism trade fairs of the world in the coming years.
