Explorateur Journeys has launched Greenland Glacial Adventure, a challenging yet rewarding itinerary that delves deep into this curious country, exposing intrepid travelers to its colorful settlements, intense colors, spectacular views and its indigenous people.

The five day journey begins with a tremendous daytime excursion navigating the fjords and getting up close and personal to everyday life at the local markets and centers of commerce before heading to the Qaleraliq Glaciar and spending the night at an enchanting camp set on the sandy beach, with impossibly beautiful glacier views. During the expedition, travelers are taken through great lakes for mesmerizing views, along trails on foot through unique desert-like valleys leading to thick green tundra, where there will even be opportunities to pick mushrooms, blueberries and scout caribou.

The journey continues a portion of the way along a RIB boat, sailing amongst icebergs and glacier fronts, embarking on an ice excursion to explore drains, caves and crevasses in this intricate frozen labyrinth with an expert mountain guide.

Travel along to a small Inuit settlement, considered to be the most beautiful in the country and witness an old-world way of life before indulging in some of Greenland’s traditional dishes.

The journey operates on select dates between June – September, 2015 and begins at US $3315 per person, land only. Explorateur Journeys custom-crafts travel for the globally curious, promoting the beauty and necessity of travel in life, frequently dishing insider information on the world’s most special, enriching and even quirky places.
