Morgans Hotel Group has opened its newest hotel, Mondrian London at Sea Containers, a 359-room luxury hotel fusing inventive food, beverage and entertainment offerings with a design that produces a vibrant hub on London’s South Bank.
The first Mondrian-branded hotel outside the United States, Mondrian London at Sea Containers offers travelers an urban boutique hotel experience that is youthful and aspirational while remaining distinctly authentic to its location.
“We are proud and excited to introduce Mondrian London at Sea Containers to the world today.” said Jason Kalisman, Interim CEO of Morgans Hotel Group. “The combination of incredible design, amazing partners, and a one-of-a-kind building make this hotel a perfect match for what Morgans does best, and I believe the resulting product will be embraced by the local and international community.”
Embracing the building’s heritage and inspired by the golden age of transatlantic travel, the hotel has several unique features including a handcrafted copper hull sweeping from the entrance through the lobby into the heart of the hotel.
In addition to the 359 guest rooms and suites, which draw design inspiration from the transatlantic narrative, the hotel also features a 200-seat restaurant, Sea Containers, helmed by famed chef Seamus Mullen and a soon-to-be-announced rooftop bar.
Accompanying the food and beverage offerings, the hotel features event venues, including a 56-seat screening room, that will play host to meetings, groups and events, from fashion shows to press junkets to film screenings and more.
Additionally, the hotel has a state-of-the-art spa. In fact, many of Agua Bathhouse & Spa’s products are debuting to the global spa arena for the first time.
