Cozumel Island, located in the Mexican Caribbean, is considered the leading dive destination in the Americas. This year marks the Third Annual Cozumel Scuba Fest, being held December 9-14, 2014, in which divers from throughout the world enjoy the destination’s marine life while paying tribute to the men and women who have protected our oceans.

This year, divers will dive the new Scuba Fest Route of Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of the iconic late Jacques-Yves Cousteau.

This special dive route covers Cozumel’s nine most beautiful coral reefs as well as a visit to the underwater sculpture of Jacques Cousteau that was permanently placed offshore during a memorial ceremony at last year’s 2013 Cozumel Scuba Fest.

The Island’s hotels, resorts and tourism facilities have joined to offer a selection of especially priced packages that include accommodations, dive packages, transportation as well as highlights of the destination’s vibrant nature and culture. A wide variety of travel packages are listed on the event’s website, as well as a breakdown of each day’s itinerary.
