For the second consecutive year, and for the third time in the last four years, Tauck has been named the “World’s Best River Cruise Line” by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.

Tauck captured the award by amassing the highest score based on readers’ ratings in six categories: cabins/facilities, restaurants/food, service, itineraries/destinations, excursions/activities, and value. According to Tauck CEO Dan Mahar, the broad-based criteria provided a fitting means by which the company’s river cruises could be judged.

“We provide a complete destination experience with all of the various elements seamlessly integrated and meticulously choreographed,” said Mahar. “Our riverboats are thoughtfully and beautifully designed, and we also have 90 years experience immersing our guests into the history and culture of different destinations,” continued Mahar. “The insider access and unique cultural experiences we build into our river cruises were instrumental in achieving this honor.”

Tauck continues to focus on the future and constant improvement as it enhances its offerings across Europe. Earlier this year the company launched two new riverboats and four new river cruise itineraries, and it introduced a pioneering new innovation in lower-deck cabin design with the “loft cabins” on its two new Inspiration Class ships.

Besides taking the top spot as the “World’s Best River Cruise Line,” Tauck was also honored on the Travel + Leisure 2014 list of the “World’s Best Tour Operators,” marking the 17th consecutive year that the company was named to the list of the travel industry’s top tour operators.
