Preparations for ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2015 are well underway, with sales of over 200 TRAVEX booths to date. More than 350 buyers and media have also submitted their registrations online to be part of the select and privileged group of Hosted Buyers and Hosted Media at ATF.
Representatives from ATF 2015 event managers MP Singapore and Myanmar Ventures Group were in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw in May to meet with members of Myanmar Tourism Marketing and Union Of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA), and hoteliers in Myanmar respectively. The team was also at Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2014 in June to promote ATF.
ASEAN Tourism Forum is a cooperative regional effort to promote the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region as one tourist destination where Asian hospitality and cultural diversity are at its best. The annual event involves all tourism industry sectors of the 10 member nations of ASEAN: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Each year, the hosting of ATF is rotated among the member countries. ATF 2015 marks the 34th anniversary of this event since its inauguration in Malaysia in 1981.
ATF 2015 will be held January 22-29, 2015 in Myanmar.
