Reed Travel Exhibitions, organiser of International Ski Travel Market, has named the InterContinentalDavos as host hotel for its March 2015 event.

The two-day forum is scheduled to take place March 23-24, 2015 with representatives expected from 100 European resort tourist boards and inbound ski travel suppliers, and 100 leading outbound ski tour operators.

Opened in mid-December 2013, the InterContinental Davos is set to be the perfect host for the second ISTM. The property will officially accommodate the ‘Buyers’ programme, which includes top decision-makers from the ski industry, as well as selected international press, attending ISTM 2015.

“We are eager to better the success of the first ISTM in Austria, and are thrilled that we can do so in such an esteemed setting as Davos,” said Peter Grimster, Exhibition Manager at Reed Travel Exhibitions.

The 2015 event will also coincide with the 150 year anniversary of winter tourism in the region, which first began attracting visitors to the Landwassertal Valley in 1865.

Initially hoping to the reap the benefits of the fresh alpine air, visitors have continued to return to Davos and the neighbouring Klosters region year after year, and the resorts remain enduringly popular as premier ski and holiday destinations.
