The Jamaica Get All Right clipper yacht arrived in San Francisco on April 14 after completing the 5,600 mile race from Qingdao, China.
Jamaica Tourist Board’s Business Development Manager Dian Holland along with a number of Jamaica travel agent specialists were on site at San Francisco’s South Beach Yacht Club to welcome the Jamaica Get All Right crew.
The Race 10 leg of the 2013/14 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race took the teams approximately 27 days at sea crossing the Pacific Ocean.
For the third time, Jamaica is among the countries represented in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, the world’s longest ocean race. The Jamaica Clipper, dubbed “Jamaica Get All Right”, is sponsored by the Jamaica Tourist Board.
The 2013/14 race set off on Sunday, September 1 setting sail from St Katharine Docks, London for the nearly yearlong journey around the globe.
Jamaica continues to be on show during the 40,000-mile, 11-month ocean race, globally promoting the destination as it visits 15 ports on six continents.
