September 9 -12, 2014 are the dates chosen for Sofitel Legend Santa Clara’s Tendencies 2014 Cartagena Bridal Week.

Reaching its sixth version of Tendencies 2014 Cartagena Bridal Week, the summit of experts foncuses on its target to update and innovate the wedding industry in the country and the region in order to consolidate a first and unique space for the networking of professionals in the wedding industry.

Also, the event aims to support the new young talent that is starting to make inroads within the industry and promote the image of Cartagena and Colombia as a wedding destination in the luxury market.

“This event has managed to raise awareness to the guilds and other government institutions about the Weddings segment importance,” said Simone Lejour, Co-Director of Tendencies 2014 Cartagena Bridal Week.

  “Entities such as Proexport, Cotelco, Turismo de Cartagena, Cartagena Convention Bureau and the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce are taking into account that is an industry that generates employment, income, image, tourism and increases hotel occupancy rates in the country.

Cartagena is an ideal wedding destination because of its romanticism, history-filled spaces that combine to achieve wonderful events.

 This is reaffirmed by Carmen Otero, Marketing and Sales Director of Sofitel Legend Santa Clara, with the award received by the Hotel in 2013, standing out as “BEST WEDDING DESTINATION IN SOUTH AMERICA”, awarded by the World Luxury Hotel Award”.
