The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) recently rewarded its top selling Jamaica vacation travel agents with a three-night getaway that included tours, world-class dining, golfing, and shopping. As part of JTB’s A One Love Rewards travel agent specialists program, the top 50 agents were flown to Jamaica and given the royal treatment at newly opened Royalton White Sands Resort. The vacation concluded with a special “All White Affair” gala where agents were presented with a specially designed piece of artwork by noted Jamaican artist Everald Powell, and honored for their commitment to the island by Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism & Entertainment, Hon. Dr. Wykeham McNeill; Director of Tourism John Lynch; Deputy Director of Tourism, Sales, Donnie Dawson; and a host of Regional Directors and Business Development Managers from the U.S. and Canada.
Jamaica’s A One Love Rewards Program serves as a dedicated training platform for the travel agent community to become certified experts on the destination. The program guides agents through vibrant, picturesque online pages that provide insider knowledge about the island. It also takes the travel agent community into the heart of the destination showcasing the island’s rich history. In addition to learning about the island, travel agents earn valuable rewards points as they complete the curriculum.
Travel agents can login to the step-by-step instructional website at www.oneloverewards.com. Currently, the JTB is offering a range of benefits to graduates including a monthly award of $300 to the top-booking Jamaica agent of 10 or more bookings. Since the program’s inception, over 11,000 travel agents have completed the training program.
