The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa has put new emphasis on its sales and marketing operations with the appointments of Michael Pramshafer as Resort Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Matt Boland as Director of Marketing. The appointments bring a breath of fresh talent to “The Other Vegas”SM in Henderson, Nevada, with focus on increasing revenues from leisure, business and group travelers alike.

Michael Pramshafer, Resort Vice President of Sales & Marketing
With an extensive background in and impressive knowledge of the Las Vegas hospitality market, Michael Pramshafer works to drive revenues as Resort Vice President of Sales & Marketing of The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa. Prior to arriving in Henderson, he worked as the Executive Director of Sales at Stratosphere Hotel & Tower in Las Vegas. Previously he held an array of sales positions across his two-decade-plus career, including Vice President of Convention Sales & Marketing at Tropicana Resort & Casino in Las Vegas; Vice President of Hotel & Gaming Sales at Cable Beach Resorts & Crystal Palace Casino in Nassau, The Bahamas; and Director of Sales at Harrah’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Pramshafer got his start in the industry as Director of Sales at Flamingo Hilton Laughlin in Laughlin, Nevada.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Pramshafer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. He resides in Las Vegas.
Matt Boland, Director of Marketing
A marketing leader in the world of sports and entertainment, Boland is responsible for developing signature brand marketing campaigns to generate new revenue for The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa. He joined the resort following a turn as Marketing Director of Legacy Properties, a Las Vegas-based real estate development startup specializing in creating world-class golf and spa resorts. While at Legacy, Boland launched Diamante Cabo San Lucas Golf & Spa Resort in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. The Diamante Dunes golf course designed by Davis Love III was recently rated in the prestigious “Top 100 in the World” (#58) by Golf Magazine.
Previously, Boland spent twelve years as a writer, producer and marketing executive with Home Box Office (HBO). Based in New York, he worked on a range of original programming including HBO Boxing, Inside the NFL, The Sopranos, Entourage, Sex & the City, The Wire, Deadwood and Band of Brothers. His role with the premium cable and satellite network went further, including involvement as Supervising Producer launching HBO’s business development and new media division for HBO.com and HBO ON DEMAND, leading online marketing campaigns, generating new revenue, and establishing the largest and most successful subscriber newsletter in the entertainment industry. Boland got his start producing extreme sporting events – not least the first X Games – for ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut.
Born and raised just outside New York City, Boland earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island.
