Agents Eager to Sell Romantic Getaways Can Use Destination Wedding & Honyemoon Specialists Association’s New Program Tool

U.S. and Canadian travel agents looking to sell destination weddings, honeymoons, and romantic getaways will have a new tool in September to build strong romance travel businesses: the brand-new online training course developed by the Destination Wedding & Honeymoon Specialists Association (DWHSA).

The eight-module, 55-lesson course will debut on September 9 with content covering all aspects of romance travel – from the basic components of today’s destination wedding and honeymoon bookings and the secrets of working with key client demographics to proven techniques for marketing and promoting oneself as a romance travel specialist and resolving common issues that crop up with these clients.

The DWHSA online course will be video-based, with more than 14 hours of pre-recorded streaming video instruction split into 55 lessons. The lessons will be grouped into eight modules, with homework assignments given for each module. Agents will access the course via a password-protected site. Beyond the eight modules, the course will also include bonus materials, checklists, sample forms, and additional tutorials that will help agents in building their romance travel businesses.

This new course will be available free of charge to current DWHSA members. Non-member agents interested in taking the course may register at www.JoinDWHSA.com for $109 (that fee includes the first year’s dues to join DWHSA as an agent member). The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) launched its new travel agent specialist program, A One Love Rewards Program. The program is designed to serve as a dedicated training platform for the travel agent community to become experts on the destination.
