The hallmark five-story Christmas tree that commands the lobby each year is renowned and the highlight of the festive ambiance throughout the resort. The tree glows with 30,000 lights and 3,000 ornaments, and is composed of 150 individual fresh trees fitted into a specially designed base that stands 50 feet high and reaches five stories. The trees used to create this one “super tree” are specially farmed in Northwest Mexico specifically for the resort so there is no impact to country’s natural forest.
From the impressive Christmas tree to treasure hunts, paddle board lessons and a cyber-teen café and lounge, the holiday season at Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach offers a host of complimentary happenings to keep the entire family entertained. Highlighting the festivities are a lavish Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner and gala New Year’s Eve party with a glamorous Great Gatsby theme. On December 23, guests can take part in a traditional Mexican Posada Navidena, which is a live reenactment of the nativity procession.

This special offer includes complimentary Christmas Eve dinner for two adults and two children under 12 years old with a four night stay in a Grand Club Junior Suite. The Grand Club provides a dedicated lounge and personal concierge service as well as above-and-beyond amenities available in both the VIP Penthouse lounge and beachside sundeck. Children & Teens Activity
From December 20, 2014 through January 6, 2015, the resort offers a full program of games and activities from 10:00am to 6:00pm for both kids from ages 4-7 as well as tweens and teens. Children can choose from piñata making, cookie decorating, sand castle building, dance contests, cooking lessons and more. For guests 12 years and older, there is a wide range of sports from beach volleyball and water polo to paddle board lessons and mini beach Olympics. In the evenings from 5:00pm-10:00pm, they can gather at the Cyber Teen Café that offers Xbox, internet access, and foosball along with a teen café serving virgin pina coladas, frappuccinos and soft drinks. Kids under 12 years old also dine free from the Kids Menu in any of the resort’s restaurants when accompanied by an adult.
New Year’s Eve
The Grand Gatsby, an elegant 1920’s themed celebration inspired by the classic novel, will take place in the Grand Ballroom and throughout the resort on December 31, 2014. The evening includes a cocktail reception, an international “haute cuisine” buffet, international DJs and performers, and large screens broadcasting countdowns from major cities around the world. Guests can also partake in the tradition of eating “12 lucky grapes” at midnight and share a bottle of sparkling wine. The festivities start at 8:00pm and carry on until dawn on New Year’s Day. There is a complimentary “kids camp” available for children ages 5-13 until 2:00am and complimentary babysitting services until 11:00pm with an hourly charge thereafter.
