While the winter season has officially come to an end, it seems Mother Nature has not gotten the message in many parts of North America. The all-inclusive Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa invites ‘really, really tired of winter’ travelers to celebrate warm weather in glorious south-of-Cancun sunshine. According to Amanda Carlow, director of sales and marketing, “Whether planning a family vacation or a romantic getaway, the Grand Sirenis spring sale is perfect for a last minute getaway to escape the cold.”
Pools for every purpose
The five pools at Grand Sirenis are constantly abuzz with activity. Poolside fun is programmed daily by the resort’s entertainment team and includes activities such as water aerobics, poolside dance lessons, body pump classes and water volleyball games for all ages. Kids can release their energy and meet new friends in a supervised setting at the colorful Kid’s Club pool area, which is equipped with a large waterfall and sprinklers. Guests can also grab an inner tube to float down the only lazy river in the Riviera Maya region. Adults may opt for a cocktail at one of two swim up bars and head over to the Quiet Pool for relaxation.
Romantic lobster dinner
Grand Sirenis is located along the Mexico’s Caribbean coast, among some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. The resort offers candlelight lobster dinners for two once a week, on a secluded beach. As if the beach wasn’t romantic enough, a Mayan ruin is perfectly illuminated to add to the ambiance.
Relax with the help of water and tradition
The open air Spa Grand Sirenis, which is architecturally inspired by Mayan pyramids, allows the environment to take part in the relaxation experience and incorporates the four elements of nature: air, water, earth, and fire. All guests can enjoy the luxurious spa with the affordable Hydrotherapy pool package. The treatment is a full 90 minutes and spans several specialized pools, each targeting a different body part. For guests looking to integrate Mexican tradition into their spa day, Temazcal is the way to go. A ritual performed by a shaman inside the temazcal, a type of sweat lodge, provides physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits through heat, an herb scent cleanse, hot stones, and steam.
Vacationers can enjoy the all-inclusive amenities and entertainment of Grand Sirenis at a 26 percent discount from the months of April until June 2014. Some activities are an additional cost to the all-inclusive package. To receive the discounted rate, reservations must be booked online by April 30, 2014. A limited number of rooms are available and rates will vary according to the dates booked.
