Hurting an industry as important as tourism has dramatic economic consequences on the entire population. Regrettably actions such as these will inevitability see a drop in overseas visitors and a substantial loss in revenue for the local industry. The people most affected by this action are the hard working, law abiding citizens of the country.”
“Tourism is one of the most effective ways to spread understanding amongst different cultures and is one of the most important sources of income for many countries. It is vital that all governments and local authorities work diligently to ensure the safety of tourists to their country, and have clear and concise warnings in place to educate visitors as to regions that may carry risk to their safety. At the same time it is equally important that the tourism industry pass this information onto their clients before they travel.”
