Snow continues to fall in Whistler with Mother Nature blanketing the resort with more than a foot of fresh powder over the past week. Another foot of the white stuff is forecast to fall by Saturday and visitors still have time to catch some of the best deals of the year with the whistler.com 72-hour sale.
In the past 24 hours, Whistler has recorded 13 centimetres of new snow, making the seven-day total snowfall 37 centimetres – more than a foot – and the accumulative snowfall for the season an impresive 1,103 centimetres – that’s 434 inches, or 36 feet. This year’s cumulative snowfall has surpassed the resort’s annual average snowfall (1,026 centimetres or 33.5 feet) and there are still two months left in the season.
Travelers have until 11:59 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 3 to take advantage of offers of up to 45 per cent off accommodation rates. During the 72-hour sale, special accommodation rates can also be bundled with lift tickets for some of the best vacation package rates of the season. And, better yet, travel times include March breaks and the Easter holiday period.
